Hematology-Oncology Clinic

Cancer and Blood Disorders

At Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County, our mission is to reduce the burden of cancer in our state through prevention, treatment and education. We strive to meet the many physical and emotional needs of cancer patients and their families through outstanding medical care, provided with compassion and concern. Our experienced cancer team includes a board-certified hematologist-oncologist and chemotherapy-certified registered nurses through the Oncology Nursing Society.

We are committed to providing the highest quality of comprehensive care through a multidisciplinary approach that includes different specialties and state-of-the-art technologies. Each patient receives an individualized treatment plan coordinated by a team of specialists including oncologist, surgeon, pathologist and radiologist. We are fully prepared to treat the whole patient and every aspect of his or her disease, using the latest advances in chemotherapy, immunotherapy, hormonal therapy, and targeted therapy. Pending the completion of our new Regional Cancer Center and its Radiation Oncology department, patients who require radiation will be referred to the Hunstman Cancer Institute for that portion of their treatment, then return to us for the remainder of therapy.

Our extensive imaging services include CT, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear bone scan, mammogram and stereotactic breast biopsy, mobile PET, and interventional radiology services.

Our laboratory and pathology services provide specialty tests performed onsite and at leading national facilities including Integrated Oncology in California and ARUP in Salt Lake City, the same lab used by the University of Utah and the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
