We take pride in the hard work and great healthcare found at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County. Sometimes in the fast-paced environment of the hospital we don't get a chance to stop and recognize many of our amazing patient caregivers and the supportive staff behind them. This area of the website is dedicated to that purpose. To showcase the great words and actions that have come from YOU, our patients! If you have a story you would like to share, please This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it it to us so we can give recognition to our staff. Thank you.

A letter from a grateful wife:

"Our family would like to "thank" all of the nurses on the 2nd floor for saving my husband and bringing him back to life.

You know when the Code Blue went they were all in the room, Dr. Donaldson, the security guard. In ICU, Patty was great. She got chairs for my family while we waited for results for the future.

Citizens of Sweetwater County don't realize how good the nurses are here and they did what they trained for. This all happenend on Jan. 4, 2009.

Thank you."

This is an e-mail sent by a recent patient:

"Hi. I was a recent patient in the E.R. and just wanted to take a minute to compliment your hospital.  I have spent most of my life in and out of hospitals and the service that I received yesterday was one of the best experiences I have ever had in a hospital.  Granted, being there alone is not fun at all, but the doctor and nurses that I had were wonderful.  My doctor was Dr. David Blanchard and my nurse was Crystal Hamblin, R.N.. They were extremely compassionate and caring.  They never made me feel like I was an inconvenience or my problem was little.  They made every effort to assist me in any way that I needed and were on top of my pain management.  When I needed something for pain I never waited more than 5 minutes.  Not only was my doctor and nurse wonderful the entire staff was exemplary as well.  Everyone from radiology to triage were friendly and extremely compassionate.  Thank you very much for the service that I received I am very grateful for your hospital and E.R. staff.

E-mailed to our website in December, this patient wrote:

"I just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to Dr. Franks.  I've been in Wyoming just a few months- and have had horrible problems with my stomach, ulcers and pain.  I've only been to one other clinic- but was bounced around so much, and never got to see the same doctor twice, and was treated like a number- not a human being that needed medical care.

I was even hesitant to follow up on the referral to Dr. Franks that I recieved from the ER- because of my experience at 'the other clinic'- but my husband dragged me in- and now I am so glad that I went.  Dr Franks seemed genuinely concerned about my 'illness' as well as the struggles I have at home with three small children and a husband in the field 99% of the time...dealing with the injury I've got and trying to be a good mother.  I'm by no means 'cured'- but I AM feeling better, and its been a long time since I've been able to say that.  I was even able to do a few loads of laundry and put up our Christmas tree!!!!

I hope this will be passed on to him in a timely manner.  Thank you so much....both of my experiences at Sweetwater Medical Clinic and the Emergency Room were pleasant ones- the nurses and physicians have all been very, very kind, patient, and empathetic.

God Bless-"

This April, a nice card was sent to Dr. Brandon Mack
, Anesthesiologist, that said the following:

" Brandon Mack -
Where to begin to thank you? I can tell you, until you introduced yourself & took such good care of myself & my unborn baby I was wanting to run! You played such a huge part in getting my gallbladder removed and getting me through it I can't begin to tell you how nice it was to meet you. I look forward to seeing you again if need be when we have our baby in July. You will come well recommended to any friend or stranger I talk to. You yourself are making Memorial Hospital a better place. My family all spoke very highly of you as well. So thank you for being you and doing your job so well. We are recovering so well & thankful to you & all the staff. God Bless You!"

This card, addressed to the Hospital Administrator, was sent from an outpatient who resides in Aurora, CO. It read:

"Dear Sir:
I was on vacation in Reno and became very sick on my way home to the Denver Metro area. My husband and I reached Rock Springs - Thank God - and I was admitted to your wonderful hospital and I regard your doctors as the best. I was in really bad shape - ashthmatic, bronchitis, pneumonia - your wonderful Emergency - ER and Judith Boyle saved my life. I will never forget the good care - the skill of the doctors, and the wonderful way I was treated by all staff. You have a lot to be proud of by having these doctors on Memorial's staff.

The nicest people I've ever met are right there in your hospital. The local people in the ER - there because they too were ill - kind considerate and friendly. Oh how I'm impressed. Please convey my heartfelt love & thanks to all doctors, nurses, ER personnel and all of those sweet wonderful people who prepared my meals also.

I have a loving, lasting memory of all of you. I am well now, thanks to the care I received at Memorial.

God Bless You All."

This letter, addressed to Dr. Wallace, ER Physician, read:

"The staff that works in the Emergency Room do a fantastic job of making you feel that you are the most important person they are caring for at that time. Thank you for taking such great care of me."
